Steve Boniello is an Upright and Electric Bass Player and Music Educator currently residing in the Raleigh, NC area. He currently offers lessons online via Lessonface as well as in person in the Greater Raleigh area.
From studying music at Berklee College of Music in Boston and graduating from Naropa University in Boulder, CO, he has experience with disciplined musical practice as well as yogic practices and spiritual studies that shape his approach to music and teaching. As his mentor and Guru Tisziji Munoz says “Spirit First, Heart First”. These are words to live by.

Lessons
Steve has been teaching music for over 10 years and is currently working with students on Upright and Electric Bass, Music Theory and Recording and Production (GarageBand, Logic Pro). He uses methods that cater to each individuals goals and works to provide students with the necessary tools needed in order to build a foundation and excel in each area of study. For Bass Playing the emphasis is on Technique and Time as well as other topics such as Tunes, Fretboard Knowledge, Improvisation, Drums (and their relationship to Bass Playing), Listening, Transcribing, Reading, Harmony, Theory, Ear Training, Creativity, Musical Direction and More.
